What up?!?!?!?

This is now probably going to be my last blog as a single woman. This time next week, I will be married and on my way to a nice dinner together with my new husband.
Tonight is the bachelorette party, just me and my mom. I'm cooking a nice dinner for Ryan and I before, and then it's time to let loose.
All in all, it's busy for the rest of this week. Work tomorrow, laundry Sunday, ordering the cake and hair trials Monday, Ryan's lawyer and work again Tuesday, hair dye Wednesday, nails Thursday, and then up super early for the ceremony on Friday, and then our reception bash on Saturday, and laundry again Sunday. I'm tired just thinking about it! Oh, and let's remember that during off days that following week, I'll be working on changing my name. Yes, sir, I'm whiping out all traces of my maiden name A.S.A.P.! Ashley Rheiner, from July 23rd on.
I'm ready. We're planning for a romantic night home right now, with talks of possibly going to a nice place for dinner. I might just order something in, get some champagne (according to Ryan), some candles, and no one but us. It'll be on my nerves in three seconds.

I'm excited! And overwhelmed....

So, I'm getting married next month. We've been together almost five years now, Ryan and I, and it's exciting to finally be taking this step. But, at the same time, even planning a court house wedding is a little bit of a task. There's trying to find clothes and shoes that actually fit and work, there's also trying to juggle a reception that is now constantly growing, and trying to get all the money together that's necessary for both. Whew.
Despite all of this, it really makes me smile to think that he chose me, despite the little whore that was moved in last year, despite the other girlfriends he's had, whom still think I'm a terrible person and that I'm no good for him.
All in all, I'm ready for this to just be over, and for life to get back to normal.

An idea...

I had an idea today. I know, what a cheesy way to begin a blog post, right? Anyway.....
I love to write. Obviously, I love to blog. I have blog pages on Myspace, here, and have also considered a personal home page through my internet provider, although that would make me have to stay with them. :(
I also like to make up my own stories every now and again, although I never share them and usually delete them. I was bored and was thinking: hey, why not put them up on my blog site? I mean, the worst that could happen would be to get laughed at, right? But, then again, maybe people might actually like them? Yeah, I know, grow up and all that. But, hey, whatever. I'm bored and need something to do.
I'll need a little bit to post something, but keep an eye open!

It's been a VERY long time!

Not much to write about, I must admit. Two jobs means alot less time to sit home and do...Whatever. Granted, with the weather, I've been off going on two weeks. Which is part of why I thought I would write.
December 19, 2009 brought the first blizzard Maryland had seen in a long while. We shoveled out and all was well. Then, on 02/05/2010, we got hammered with 28+ inches of snow in another blizzard. Before we could even make a noticeable dent in that snow, along comes another blizzard, with another 21+ inches of snow, on 02/09/2010. I've never seen so much snow in my life! The picture is of my walkway, which had been shoveled down to bare pavement after the 02/05 storm. This was taken on 02/10/2010.
During this storm, I actually lived on whatever could be found at the corner store, along with beef stew and hot chocolate. I was actually old enough to eat what I wanted during a snow storm! AND, I'll have something to share with my grandkids one day. I just read, earlier today, that it was the most snow we've had since 1888, and that put it into perspective for me.
So, now that I've shared, I hope everyone is safe and sound and praying for Spring as hard as we are here in Maryland!
